The Goel family was the part owner of the ‘Berkowits’ brand while the other part were owned by Ms. Jaishree Manchanda and another Company under her control. The Goels have purchased the brand from Ms. Jaishree Manchanda and her Company and have now become the exclusive owners of the brand ‘Berkowits’.
Started in 1989, Berkowits was one of the first few chains in the segment of hair and skin care in India. The Goels, purchased part of the brand in 2003 with 2 clinics in New Delhi and have successfully scaled up the business to 10 clinics in Delhi / NCR.
The outlook of the Goel family is very bullish and they have plans to expand in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Pune under the aegis of the younger generation of the family comprising of Mr. Arpit Goel, a graduate from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and Dr. Anupriya Bansal, MBBS, MD.
Mr. Arpit Goel was quoted saying “The Berkowits team is extremely excited to have complete ownership of the brand and is already assessing the right market to start their pan-India expansion”.
‘Berkowits’ will also be soon launching skin and hair care products under this brand. Dr. Anupriya Bansal was quoted saying ‘All products have been formulated after conducting extensive research. We are very excited to bring the very best of Hair and Skin care products under the brand name ‘Berkowits’ to the entire nation’.
Berkowits will soon be launching a new website to commemorate the brands consolidation.
